About

I’m the founder and president of Arkanis Capital, an independent financial services firm providing financial planning, consulting and investment advisory services for individuals, specifically for salaried individuals. Arkanis Capital (pronounced ar-cane-is) was founded to address the need for informed, cost-effective financial advice based on sound economic principles for individuals and businesses in India.

Before founding Arkanis Capital, I worked as an equity research specialist at Boston-based asset manager Fidelity Investments. I made stock recommendations for two portfolio managers who managed more than $15 billion between them in 4 different mutual funds. Prior to my stint at Fidelity Investments, I spent nine years in the United States.  I worked as an equity research analyst at Morningstar in Chicago, covering international banks at first before leading the bank analyst team, supervising the coverage of some 90 banks and financial institutions as well as personally covering the world’s largest money center banks such as JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America and Citigroup.  I have an MBA from the University of Minnesota as well as a Master’s degree in Mechanics, also from the University of Minnesota.

I am a passionate and uncompromising advocate for free enterprise, sound money and individual liberty from any source of oppression including the state.  I believe conditions engendered in a society that espouses these principles offer its citizens the fastest route to improve their collective living standards and alleviate material hardships.  My other interests include sports such as Cricket, American Football and NASCAR racing, astronomy, science and history.
